The series of short stories as witnessed by the eyes of a child, the stories are a unique insight to a generation that is gone. The stories tell of people who were impoverished in youth to fight tooth and nail out of hell to give their children the chance at prosperity and security, and give the grandchildren the childhood experience they missed. These people were happy without the need for money or status even when access to material wealth was all around in later years. Two people, Ma Jernigan and Grandaddy Wise were two leaders of two different families…Aunt Thelma is Ma Jernigan’s twin….Aunt Annie Jewel was the out of control aunt and mom’s sister…Aunt Billie was the unique aunt and my mom’s sister….These five characters will be in the spotlight of the short stories….
